Spellbook Publishing is seeking writers with a passion for Dungeons & Dragons lore to contribute short stories set in Planescape, Spelljammer, and across the many worlds of the multiverse.

We’re building a published anthology series for the Dungeon Masters Guild—and we want your voice in it.

What We’re Looking For

Short stories that bring the ORDO—an elite, secretive guild that spans the planes—into the worlds of Planescape, Spelljammer, and beyond.

Tales that are epic, eerie, or experimental, with characters entangled in the ORDO’s missions.

Call for Comic Artists: Spellbook Publishing

Spellbook Publishing is looking for comic book–style artists (both color and black & white) to collaborate on upcoming projects set in our original Dungeons & Dragons–inspired universes.

We are developing stories that span the planes — Planescape, Spelljammer, and our own Neptaverse — and we want artists who can bring these worlds to life with bold, dynamic visuals.

What We’re Looking For

Comic book–style illustration, with strong storytelling through panels, character expression, and dynamic action.

Both full-color and black & white work — we’re open to artists who specialize in either or both.

Artists comfortable working from scripts, lore references, and art direction, while bringing their own style and creativity.

Reliable, professional collaborators who can deliver polished, production-ready files on schedule.

What We Provide

Clear scripts, storyboards, and lore references to guide your work.

Art direction and editorial feedback throughout the process.

Contract work with payment (rates and scope defined per project).

Opportunities for ongoing collaboration on Spellbook Publishing projects (anthologies, comics, D&D modules, and more).

A strong portfolio in comic book style art (please include samples).
